We held Kevin's 12th and Amanda's 8th birthday parties at the Louisburg Aquatic Center - it's a win-win situation for us. The kid's birthdays are 2 weeks apart and celebrating them at different times and days is hard work! So, on the last day the pool was open (free admission for all), the kid's invited everyone they wanted and we made it official!
Amanda's party consisted of Dusty, Faith, Chloe, Charlee, Ty, and Sydney.
Michael, Luke, Peyton, Zach, Jacob, Kyle, and Chance came to Kevin's party.
During the break, the girls kept entertained by playing cards (thanks to Sydney and her "garage sale" purse full of surprises). How fun!

The next couple of photos crack me up. Kevin was worried about what might be in this card (mushy stuff from Grandma) so he stepped away from the group of boys to read it first. ...From my experience with dogs, in the picture on the left, Kevin is watching out of the corner of his eye and looks like he is calculating the perfect moment when he will lash out and viciously attack Peyton - as if he were a dog coveting a treat or some food. And in the picture on the right, it's like a Hallmark moment - they are sharing and enjoying the sentiments of the card together. LOL!
And of course, here is Amanda with one of her besties, Chloe. First was the crazy/silly face; Amanda doing what I am used to seeing for a crazy face and YIKES, Chloe is doing a ferrel cat impression or a 'possum with rabies! And the second photo just shows how cute they really are.
It is so fun to share in these special moments with my kids but also sad because they are growing up too fast. Next year (hard swallow)... I will have a teenager! Yes......a 13-year old who still gets koolaid mustaches. ...I'm doomed!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN AND AMANDA!! I love you with all my heart.
