Done Deal....

In my house, there is a ten year old and a six year old. We have to be VERY careful about what we say around the six year old (so there is no spoiling her youth). The ten year old is becoming...wiser about things. BUT, he is...not...quite....there, yet. Santa is no longer discussion for Kevin because he knows his true identity. However, the tooth fairy and Easter Bunny.... he still believes in!!! How and Why? Well, who knows? But, that is just plain funny to me.

I was thinking that Tooth Fairy could get away with the "bad economy" excuse and only pay half of what Kevin got for his first tooth. Mind you, this was well before we decided to have another child, so we could afford to splurge a little back then. Then, wouldn't you know it... Kevin pipes up and tells Amanda how lucky she is because the Tooth Fairy pays $20 for the first tooth. (RATS!!! I can't believe he remembered that!).

Now, to the point of this whole post... Amanda lost her FIRST tooth. She wiggled and popped that little tooth out at school this week. She has been working at it for about three months now. It has been the topic of many conversations before school, at dinner, at cheer practice, as it was "gushing" blood all over in her mouth - as she described it. No more worries on her losing it and possibly swallowing it, because it is out and now we get to watch the progress of her big tooth coming in --- it is already poking through her gums! YEAH!

When she woke to discover the $20 dollar bill under her pillow, she came running to the kitchen and yelled, "Mom, the Tooth Fairy left me a $12 dollar bill". Hmmm....maybe I could get my $8 dollars back and she would never notice.... Hehehe.
